Looking behind the scenes in Asset Management

Dear readers,

This month, I want to share with you some of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into the asset management offerings we select for Warwick clients.

Our point of departure is that all our clients have specific investment and income requirements and these can only be met firstly by conducting detailed estate and wealth planning and then overlaying the appropriate investment vehicles to match the client’s particular needs. This means that to meet our clients’ private wealth requirements, we need to offer a range of portfolios and funds that cater, amongst others, for clients requiring incremental growth, local and international investments, fixed income, balanced funds and much more.

To achieve this, we are served by a panel of highly professional local (SA based) and international (overseas) asset management advisors, each of whom is a specialist in their specific area or style of investing. Through Orion Investment Managers there is daily contact with the advisors, a formal monthly meeting is held to review investment decisions and performance and a meeting is held internationally on a quarterly basis. All of this informs the OIM quarterly asset allocation meetings which determine the weighting given to certain asset classes ranging from equities, to fixed income, property and cash.

What we require of all our advisors is that they adhere to the mandate and expertise we require of them and perform against an agreed benchmark.

With all this said, our commitment at Warwick Wealth is to offer our clients a wide range of portfolios and funds, each of which individually or blended in a wrap fund is constantly evaluated and updated to meet your exacting requirements.

As September is Wills Month (how time flies), I want to send a personal message to all our readers to please take this opportunity either to have your Will drafted through Warwick and our service providers Appleton, or to review your Will and update it if your circumstances have changed since signing your last Will.

Through Warwick, there is no charge for Will drafting, nor for a Will review and none for the safe off-site storage provided by Appleton. So please, take this opportunity to secure your and your family’s peace of mind.

Until next time, take good care and stay invested!

Sincerely,

Ian Kilbride, Chairman and CEO
