Calm clarity in times of market volatility

Published by Spirit News on April 22, 2025

By Warwick Managing Director, Marc Wiese, Warwick Wealth Matters – April 2025

Dear clients, partners, and stakeholders,

At Warwick Wealth, we continue to experience remarkable growth, reinforcing our position as a leader in the wealth management space. So it is with great pleasure that I welcome several new Wealth Advisors to the Warwick family. Birgitt Skopelitis joins us as a Wealth Advisor, based in Hermanus and Gauteng. Gabriel Holl has come on board as a Wealth Advisor in KwaZulu-Natal. Adam Stander is now part of our Gauteng team, bringing his expertise to our clients in the region. Last, but by no way least, Christiaan Bekker has joined us as a Wealth Advisor in Beaufort West, Karoo.

The addition of these talented professionals strengthens our team and enhances our ability to provide superior service to our valued clients. Warwick is growing from strength-to-strength, and we are proud to see our footprint expanding across South Africa. Our commitment to delivering expert financial advice and wealth management solutions remains unwavering, and as we welcome these new advisors, we are confident that they will contribute significantly to our ongoing success.

On the market front, recent volatility has been a key topic of discussion. Clients may have observed a drawdown in the markets, influenced by various factors, including delays in the South African budget process and uncertainties surrounding the Government of National Unity (GNU). Internationally, U.S. President Donald Trump’s “America First” stance and tariff hikes have fuelled global market uncertainty. These elements have contributed to the fluctuations we have seen in recent weeks, creating an environment where investors may feel uneasy.

While these developments have created short to medium term volatility, history has repeatedly shown that markets always recover. It is crucial during these periods to remain patient and focused on long-term financial objectives. At Warwick, we are fortunate to be partnered with Orion Investment Managers, who diligently oversee your investments. Our clients benefit from diversified portfolios across multiple jurisdictions and asset classes, ensuring resilience and stability even during turbulent times. Maintaining a well-structured investment strategy is key, and with our expert guidance, clients can be assured that their financial well-being remains our top priority.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership with Warwick Wealth. We are grateful for your support and look forward to continuing to serve you with excellence. Should you have any questions, require assistance, or simply wish to catch up, please feel free to respond to this communication or contact your Warwick Wealth Specialist, Planner, or Advisor. We are always here to assist you in navigating your financial journey with confidence and clarity.
