Two classic quotes spring to mind when navigating turbulent markets. The first from Charlie Munger holds that “Waiting helps you as an investor and a lot of people just can’t stand to wait. If you didn’t get the deferred gratification gene, you’ve got to work very hard to overcome that.”
But perhaps the crispest quote comes from Charlie Munger’s partner, Warren Buffet, who reminds us that, “The stock market is a device to transfer money from the impatient to the patient.”
Global and local markets have been tough of late, but we know from decades of experience that remaining invested in the market over the longer-term delivers positive real returns.
So, like all previous market turbulence, this too shall pass. But what will never change is Warwick Wealth’s commitment to our clients, particularly during times of market turbulence.
